After the death of her husband, she was going through financial crisis, but after getting the benefit of this scheme from March 2024, she opened a small vegetable shop by adding the amount of six months. Now she has a permanent source of income. Bhojbai proudly says, “Now I am happy to be self-reliant, I have my own business, and I feel empowered.”
Similarly, Usha Sahu of Gram Panchayat Koundkera set up a vegetable stall by using the assistance received from this scheme. Now she is earning Rs 200 per day, which is helping her to easily manage her children’s education and household expenses. Usha emotionally says, “Mahatari Vandan Yojana has given a new direction to my life. Now I am self-reliant and can take care of my family.”
