Women in Raipur took a pledge to pass on the art of wearing saree to the next generation

Raipur. Ashtasiddha and Sanskriti Siddha Committee of All India Maheshwari Women’s Organisation organized a Sari Walkathon program on the occasion of Mahesh Navami festival on Saturday. Giving the above information, State Media Incharge Kavita Rathi said that under the guidance of National President Manju Bangar and National General Secretary Jyoti Rathi, the participating women in this program pledged that they will pass on the art of wearing saree to the next generation and will keep this tradition alive with pride and respect.

Sari Walkathon Program State President Shashi Gattani and State Secretary Rupa Mundada said that this program was organized in all the local organizations under the slogan “Respect for Culture, Campaign of Walkathon in Sari”. After this event, 35 professional women and girls of Maheshwari society were honored by presenting dupatta-shriphal. To make the event memorable, Neena Rathi arrived in the getup of special character Teejan Bai where the beauty of this great personality was displayed in a better way. Additional Collector Sachin Bhutada, State Assembly President Suresh Mundada, Secretary Kamal Kishore Rathi, Raipur Gopal Mandir Trustee Omprakash Nagodi, Youth Board President Nilesh Mundada were present as the chief guests in the felicitation program. The stage was conducted by Pratibha Nathani and Madhu Rathi.
