Raigarh. Last night, a report was lodged at Jute Mill police station by a woman about physical exploitation of Jute Mill resident Sujit Thapa by luring him for marriage, on which prompt action was taken by the Jute Mill police station in-charge and the accused was arrested today and sent on judicial remand. The woman applied and said that she was a resident of Madhya Pradesh. Troubled by her husband’s fights, she came to Raigarh with her children in 2014 and is earning her living by working as a labourer. Got acquainted with Sujit Thapa in the year 2017 during work. Sujit Thapa used to make fast food (momos).
They made friends with the promise of opening a shop and in January 2018 they took him to their rented house and had a physical relationship with the promise of marriage. Sujit Thapa was said to be unmarried, later it was revealed that he was married. Gradually Sujit’s behavior started changing, he started quarreling over small things and abusing. Now Sujit has thrown him out of the house saying that he will not marry. On the complaint of the woman, the crime of rape has been registered against the accused Sujit Thapa by the police station incharge Jutmil and the accused Sujit Thapa, father Chandra Bahadur Thapa, aged 40 years, has been sent on judicial remand for arrest.
