Suryapet: A woman, deeply upset over the fact that Indiramma House was allotted to someone else after it was sanctioned, committed suicide by consuming pesticide in front of the district. District Collector Tejas Nandalal Power, District SP Narasimha and mandal level officials participated in the Public Administration-Progress Planning program at the Munagala Mandal Center.
On this occasion, the government selected Tadvai village in the mandal as the pilot project for Indiramma houses. However, the victim attempted suicide by consuming pesticide after claiming that the house was allotted to someone else while Indiramma was sanctioned in the name of Sunitha from Tadvai village.
She is being rushed to the Kodada Government Hospital for treatment. The victim alleged that Congress leaders are preventing her from receiving welfare schemes with political support.
