Woman and man arrested for selling liquor in Maudhapara

chhattisgarh news In this sequence, the team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​​​Unit received information that two persons are selling liquor illegally near the house of Firoz Kabadi located in Rajbandha Maidan under Maudhapara area. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti Crime and Cyber ​​​​Unit and Maudhapara Police Station went to the said place told by the informer and while investigating the persons, a total of 02 people including a woman were identified and caught. On being questioned by the team members, they told their names to be Altaf Khan and Sultana Begum, resident of Talab Paar Maudhapara Raipur. When the team members searched the bag kept with them, they found English liquor in the bag. On demanding valid documents regarding keeping/selling liquor from both of them, they were continuously trying to mislead the team members by not presenting any document of any kind.

On which the team members arrested the accused Altaf Khan and Sultana Begum and seized 55 pieces of Goa English liquor kept illegally and the sale amount of Rs. 56,140/-, total worth about Rs. 65,000/- from their possession and registered a case number 227/24 under section 34(2) of the Excise Act against the accused in Maudhapara police station and took action.
