Luxury brand Louis Vuitton entered the electronics market with the launch of new wireless earphones in March. Now earphones from luxury brands are going viral for their attractive looks, gorgeous designs and jaw-dropping prices. The Louis Vuitton earphones are listed on the website with the name Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up. The pair of earphones is said to be the ‘world’s most expensive earphones’ with a price tag of $1,660 (Rs 1.38 lakh).
The earbuds are housed in a beautiful charging case inspired by the Tambor Horizon Light Up watch. These special earphones are made of a gem-like golden-yellow metal. The earphones feature a sapphire glass top disc with a yellow-golden back-printing of a yellow-gold connected monogram pattern. Featuring an aluminum frame with a yellow-gold PVD coating, the earphones feature a polished stainless steel case with a yellow-gold PVD coating and feature Louis Vuitton branding along with silicone tips. A beautiful monogram of flowers glows in a gradient of blue to pink when interacting with the case. Each earphone weighs 8.2 grams and the case weighs 119 grams.
The Louis Vuitton Horizon earphones have IPX5 water resistance and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity that enables them to stay connected up to 30 meters.
However, like many Louis Vuitton products, opinions vary on the design, with some considering the aesthetic a bit pretentious and the price excessive. The earphones can last up to 12 hours on a single charge. Additionally, the earbuds have proximity sensors that enable them to play/pause automatically. Furthermore, each earphone can be used independently for calling and listening.
The battery levels of the right earphone, left earphone and charging case are shown through the LED light ring outside the case and through the light indicator inside the case. The charging case can last for approximately 28 hours of battery life in total. Its battery can be charged 50 percent in 15 minutes and 100 percent in 40 minutes. The charging case is IPX4 for water resistance.
