Patna: Bihar’s newly elected Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary on Sunday claimed that the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) will win all 40 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Samrat Chaudhary told ANI on Sunday, “We will win all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
In 2020 we won the elections and defeated Lalu Yadav’s family and will do the same in future also.” Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and MLC Chaudhary took oath as cabinet minister at Raj Bhavan in Patna. Choudhary was on Sunday elected the leader of the BJP legislature party, paving the way for him to become the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar. Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the ninth time at the Raj Bhavan on Sunday after breaking ties with the “Grand Alliance”. After days of speculation, JDU chief Nitish Kumar has resigned as the second chief minister of Bihar in less than 18 months.
Nitish broke ties with RJD and Congress and formed the government with the support of BJP. Samrat, who always wears a turban on his head, is known as a courageous and aggressive leader of the state BJP. It is noteworthy that earlier when asked about the turban in 2023, he had said that the turban will be removed as soon as Nitish Kumar steps down from the post of CM. Chaudhary, 54, took over as the state BJP chief in March 2023. He joined BJP six years ago and has also been the BJP leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Council. He has also served as Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Health in the Jitan Ram Manjhi ministry in 2014, and Minister of Metrology and Horticulture in the Rabri Devi ministry in 1999.
