Aliabad: No party got a clear majority in Aliabad Municipality in Medchal Malkajgiri district. Out of the total 20 wards, Congress won in 8 wards, BRS in seven wards, BJP in three wards, BSP in one ward, and BSP in another ward. In this order, both the Congress Party and the BRS Party are trying to get the support of independents to form a governing body.
The independent, who considered this as an advantage, tendered for the post of chairman. He made it clear that he would support whichever party offered him the post of chairman. A man named Gade Venkatesh campaigned bravely against the main parties and won as an independent from the seventh ward. Now he is demanding the post of chairman. In this sequence, there is excitement about who will get the chairmanship of Aliabad.
In the wake of these developments, BRS and Congress candidates prevented Independent candidate Venkatesh from entering the counting center. This led to tension there. The police intervened and took Venkatesh to the counting center. Some scuffle took place on this occasion.
