New Delhi (IANS) | Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat, who will make his boxing comeback in Mexico on Saturday night, is confident of his bout against Jose Zepeda of America and is not taking his opponent lightly. He also said that this fight will decide who is the better boxer.
Zepeda last fought in November 2022 against Regis Progress and lost by knockout, while Goyat entered the ring last July against Channarong Injampa and won by knockout in Bangkok.
Goyat turned professional in 2013 and has fought 22 bouts since then. He has a record of 17-3.
Speaking to IANS, Goyat said he would not take Zepeda, who is a professional boxing legend with 35 wins from 40 fights, lightly. Of these 35 wins, 27 were by knockout.
Goyat told Mexico, “Jose Zepeda lost his last fight while I won my last in July but this time the fight will not be easy. I will fight with the effect that he fought well.”
The 31-year-old Indian boxer said, “He is a good boxer. When I fight him in the ring, then we will know who is better.”
