Anantnag, November 28: The Wildlife Protection Department, South Division, Bijbehara, captured two black bears alive in two separate swift operations in Anantnag district on Friday, officials said. The first bear was captured by the Control Room, Achhabal, from Soyan Sagaram in Kokernag, as repeated sightings had created panic among the residents.
In a separate operation, Seer Control Room officials successfully captured another black bear from Yaal village in Haptnod, ensuring the safety of the residents. Both operations were carried out on the instructions of Wildlife Warden South, Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Bhat. People in both areas praised the Wildlife Department for its timely and effective action, which helped avert potential threats to human life.
