Azamgarh: A married woman living in the Kotwali area of the city died two days ago in Ludhiana. On Tuesday, the husband took the dead body to his village Mahuari in Bardah police station area. The maternal uncle of the deceased has expressed suspicion of murder. On which Bardah police station took possession of the body on Wednesday morning and sent it for post-mortem. The maternal uncle had arranged the marriage of the deceased.
Divya (20), daughter of Ashok, originally a resident of Elwal Mohalla of the city Kotwali, lived in the house of her maternal uncle Sunil Kumar in Bela village of Bardah police station area since childhood. The condition of the family was pathetic after the death of the father. Due to which maternal uncle got Divya married with Dimple, a resident of Mahuari village of Bardah police station, at Brahma Baba temple.
After marriage, Dimple went to Ludhiana with his wife Divya for employment. Divya died on Monday in Ludhiana itself. After this, husband Dimple reached his village Mahuari late evening on Tuesday with the body of wife Divya. On receiving the information, maternal uncle Sunil Kumar also reached the spot and lodged a complaint with the police, suspecting murder.
On Wednesday morning, Bardah police station sent Divya’s body for post-mortem. The deceased was the eldest among four sisters. The incident has created chaos among the family members. The police have said that further action will be taken after the post-mortem.
