WhatsApp’s new feature will allow users to create stickers within the app

San Francisco (IANS) | Meta-owned WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature called ‘Sticker Maker Tool’. This feature will allow users to create stickers within the app on iOS. According to WABTinfo, the company is planning to introduce a ‘new sticker’ option within the chat share action sheet. This feature will allow users to select photos from their library and edit them with tools like removing the background.

Apart from this, it has been mentioned in the report that this new feature will save users from downloading third-party apps. The report also states that a similar tool already exists on WhatsApp web and desktop, but the tool being developed on iOS will give users more convenience.

The ability to create stickers using the in-app sticker maker tool is a work in progress and will be included in future app updates.

Meanwhile, WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a new group calling feature on macOS tools that will allow users to make group calls with select participants. Earlier, it was not possible to start a group call as the button was either disabled or not working on macOS.

However, in the latest update of WhatsApp beta, call buttons are available in ‘audio and video’, and users can now start a group call.
