West Bengal: West Bengal gets Rs 5,488 crore from the Center as additional installment of tax transfer

Bengal Occidental has received Rs 5.488.88 million as payment in addition to refund of taxes from the Centre.

On Friday, the Center had distributed Rs 72,961.21 million to all states as tax refunds to finance various social welfare measures and infrastructure development schemes.

The government said, this is equal to the tax refund quota that the states will get on January 10, 2024.

The Center distributes tax refund funds in 14 annual quotas.

In the last allocation, Uttar Pradesh had got the largest share with Rs 13088.51 crore. After this comes Bihar (Rs 7.338 crore), Madhya Pradesh (Rs 5.727.44 crore), Bengal Occidental (Rs 5.488.88 crore), Maharashtra (Rs 4.608.96 crore), Rajasthan (Rs 4.396.64 crore). . ) and Odisha (3.303.69 million D rupiah).
