Tamil Nadu : An additional 1,115 special buses will be operated in anticipation of the weekend.
In view of the weekend holidays, Saturday and Sunday (June 14 and 15), additional special buses have been planned to be operated from Chennai to other places.
Accordingly, 385 buses are planned to be operated from Kalampakkam in Chennai to Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode and Tiruppur on Friday (June 13) and 350 buses on Saturday.
Similarly, 55 buses are planned to be operated from Chennai-Coimbatore to Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur and Bengaluru on Friday and 55 buses on Saturday. In addition, 250 special buses are being run from Bengaluru, Tiruppur, Erode and Coimbatore to various places and 20 special buses from Madhavaram on Friday and Saturday, taking the total number of special buses to 1,115.
In addition, it is reported that special buses have been planned from all places on Sunday to bring passengers back to Chennai and Bengaluru from their hometowns.
