Tamil Nadu : Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said that we are not just afraid of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), we are not even afraid of Modi.
He gave an interview after personally inspecting the work of the indoor playground at the district stadium in Pudukkottai on Saturday afternoon:
The construction work of the indoor stadium at the Pudukkottai district stadium, which began in 2015, was stalled due to financial problems. The Chief Minister has allocated Rs 3.50 crore to expedite the work. The additional Rs 1 crore needed will be obtained from the constituency development funds of MPs and MLAs here and the work has been directed to be completed by December.
Chief Minister Stalin has gone to Delhi to demand the financial rights of the state. However, opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami is playing politics in this.
They say they are afraid of the action of the Enforcement Directorate. We are not afraid of the ED (Enforcement Department), nor of Modi. We have said this many times. What have those who have conducted the raids done so far? Only those who have done wrong should be afraid. Whatever happens, we will face it according to the law.
We are not a slave party that will bow down to threats. The DMK is a proud party built by artist Karunanidhi and is a descendant of Periyar Avra, Udhayanidhi said.
