Mahavikas Aghadi won 31 seats in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections. We won 65 percent of the seats. Keeping this in mind, we can win 183 seats in the assembly elections, if we consider the grand alliance, then the question is whether they will be able to reach even three digit numbers or not. Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan made this prediction. Prithviraj Chavan also said that the social environment in Maharashtra is worrying. All communities like Bada Balutedar Samaj, Maratha Samaj, Dalit Samaj were living in harmony in Maharashtra. There was never any rift between them. Some political parties are creating a rift in the society. Therefore, the social health of Maharashtra has deteriorated. An attempt is being made to create discord in the Dalit society by dividing Buddhists and Dalits and Hindus and Dalits. Prithviraj Chavan also alleged that an attempt is being made to cause communal and religious riots before the elections. He said, “When I was the Chief Minister, 16 percent reservation was given to the Maratha community. The Fadnavis government could not maintain that reservation. At present, there is a burning problem of unemployment in the state. People do not have work. Also, in the last ten years, no big industry or company has come to invest in Maharashtra. The industries that were coming have been diverted to Gujarat. Such a situation was created that the environment in Maharashtra was not conducive for industry. Prithviraj Chavan also alleged that the problem of reservation has arisen due to unemployment.
