Noida: Noida Police has arrested an accused who was absconding for 16 years. The accused was absconding since he killed his wife. In these 16 years, he was hiding in many different states. Police has succeeded in arresting him from Punjab. Noida’s Phase-2 police station has arrested Sanjay, the accused wanted in a murder case, who was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000. According to the police, the accused killed his wife on 5 December 2008 by hitting her on the head with a pressure cooker and then strangulating her on suspicion of illicit relations. After this incident, the accused had absconded. Police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on Sanjay. He is originally from Bihar’s Nalanda district. Police has succeeded in arresting the accused from Amritsar, Punjab. Police said that Sanjay was living in different states for many years by changing his disguise and name. After living in one state for two-three years, the accused used to run away to another place. At the new place, he would change his name again and start working there with a changed identity.
