Waring: AAP government is bypassing the rules to woo voters in Gidderbaha

Punjab: As AAP ministers and leaders laid foundation stones for various development projects in Giddarbaha Assembly Constituency, PCC chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, who has been a three-time MLA from here, today claimed that the state government was circumventing rules and Congress councillors will file a petition in the High Court on Monday in this regard. Speaking to The Tribune over phone, Warring said, “The state government is laying pipelines for drinking water and sewerage in Giddarbaha town but a resolution in this regard was not passed by the municipal committee. The municipal corporation chairman is a Congress man. Congress councillors will now file a petition in the High Court alleging that the state government was circumventing rules to woo voters ahead of the by-elections.” Taking a dig at the AAP, Warring said ministers Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and Dr Baljit Kaur are from Muktsar district but they were ignored and the state government deployed ministers Aman Arora (MLA from Sunam), Dharamkot MLA Davinderjit Singh Ladi Dhos and Muktsar MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar in the constituency who are laying the foundation stone. “I ask the AAP government what is the interest of these MLAs from other constituencies in Gidderbaha,” Warring said. The PCC chief also questioned the state government for laying foundation stone for the repair of some link roads. “Roads constructed from rural development funds can be repaired after six years. The AAP government is not doing anything new but cabinet ministers are wasting the time of the district administration by laying foundation stones,” he said.
