Nalgonda: Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates constituency by-election is scheduled for Monday. Voting for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Graduate Constituency Legislative Council by-election is scheduled to take place on Monday. Voting will be held at 605 polling stations on Monday. There are 34 assembly seats in this constituency, of which 31 are held by the Congress. Distribution and Reception Centers (DRC) have been set up at 12 district headquarters.
Voting will take place from 8 am to 4 pm and counting of votes will take place on June 5.
Congress’s Chintakayala ‘Thinmar Mallanna’, BRS’s Anugula Rakesh Reddy and BJP’s Gujjala Premender Reddy and 49 independent candidates are in the fray.
The total voters – all graduates – are 4,63,839, including 2,88,189 male and 1,75,645 female voters.
Voting took place at 97 polling stations in Nalgonda district, 71 in Suryapet, 37 in Yadadri-Bhogir, 118 in Khammam, 55 in Badadri-Kothagudem, 16 in Bhupalpally, 17 in Mulugu, 36 in Mahabubabad, 59 in Warangal, 67 in Warangal. will be. 27 in Hanamkonda, Zangon and five in Siddipet district. Section 144 will remain in force at all polling stations on Monday.
Poll workers collected ballot boxes, ballot papers and other items from across the DRC before heading to allocated polling stations in special buses. Returning Officer Dasari Harichandana inspected the DRC set up at St. Alphonsus High School, Nalgonda.
After completion of polling, the ballot boxes will be shifted to the strong room at the FCI warehouses in Nalgonda for counting. He asked all the election contesting candidates and people to cooperate for free and fair voting.
Police officials have imposed tight police security along with imposing prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC at all polling stations to prevent gathering of people.
