War of words between Siddaramaiah and DK

The dispute over the CM post in Karnataka has intensified. A war of words has started between CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar. The two indirectly criticized each other on social media. With this, the hidden differences between them were exposed. As a result, the Congress high command stepped in and started trying to rectify the situation.

A post made by Deputy CM DK Shivakumar on Thursday on X platform has fueled controversy. ‘The power of words is the power of the world. Keeping one’s word is the greatest power in the world,’ DK said in his post. There is a debate in political circles that DK made this post to remind people of the two-and-a-half-year power transfer agreement that was said to have been reached when the government was formed in 2023.

However, Siddaramaiah also responded to DK’s post in the same way. He countered by saying, ‘When words do not do good for the people, those words have no power.’ He reminded that they have provided more than 600 crore free rides to women through their ‘Shakti’ scheme. He clarified that the people have given them power for a full five-year term, and that their words are not a slogan, but the world to them.
