Binika: The wall of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in Sonepur district of Odisha due to incessant rain fall since almost a month. As many as five members of a family have been seriously injured.
The critically injured have been admitted to Dunguripalli Community Health Centre( CHC). The incident took place in Dahukbud village under Dunguripalli police station limits in Sonepur district.
According to the information, the seriously injured have been identified as Sushil Padhan of Dahukbud village and his wife along with two sons and a daughter. The wall of the house collapsed late at night while they were sleeping late at night.
Reports say that Sushil Padhan owns a two-room mud house. The family depends on daily labour for their livelihood. Hearing their screams, the villagers reached the spot.
After receiving the information, the firefighters arrived and immediately rescued everyone from the rubble. Later, they were rushed and admitted to Dunguripalli Community Health Center by ambulance. Their condition is said to be stable as they are being treated there.
