In some videos shared on social media, Yevgeny Prigozhin has announced the removal of the Defense Minister of Russia. In addition, Yevgeny has also dispatched his fighters to capture Rostov-on-Don, the headquarters of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Fearing a coup, Putin has ordered the deployment of tanks in Moscow to tighten security at the Kremlin, the Russian presidential office. That came as a long-running standoff between Yevgeny Prigozhin and military top officials reached a climax, TASS news agency said. Russia’s FSB security service has opened a criminal case against Prigozhin. The Security Service has called on Wagner Private Military Company forces to ignore Yevgeny Prigozhin’s orders and arrest him. The move came shortly after the Kremlin accused Prigozhin of calling for an armed rebellion.
