Vivo is reportedly planning to launch the S2 in India as the successor to the Vivo S1 soon. Ahead of official confirmation, the launch date, first sale date, design, and key specs of the rumoured smartphone has been leaked via an X post.
According to latest leak report, the vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the vivo S2 will launch in India on August 6 and go on sale likely from August 11.
The handset is tipped to be available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations and in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White shades.
Meanwhile, another leak has revealed the phone’s design, which appears similar to the Vivo X300 FE. It is seen with a pill-shaped horizontal rear camera module and in three colors.
The leaked promotional material also shows that the phone will get a curved display and a 50MP main rear camera.
Reports of the vivo S series returning to India first surfaced in May, suggesting that the vivo S2 would arrive as a mid-range offering priced between Rs 45,000 and Rs 50,000.
A recent leak also claimed that the Vivo S2 will come with a 6.59-inch OLED display, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 7,000mAh battery.
Vivo is expected to begin teasing the new S series smartphone in the coming days.
