Tamil Nadu: Actor Sathyaraj said that Tamil Nadu Victory Party leader Vijay should be defeated in the elections and sent back to cinema.
Actor Sathyaraj campaigned in Vyasarpadi on Saturday in support of DMK candidate R.D. Shekhar from Chennai’s Perambur constituency. He said:
In Tamil Nadu, anyone who gets votes, except the DMK alliance, will support the BJP. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin should come to power for the development of Tamil Nadu. When Tamil Nadu Vettri Kalaka leader Vijay first entered politics, I was happy when he promoted Periyar, Avra, and Ambedkar. However, I was shocked to hear his vulgar speeches.
Vijay never spoke like this while in cinema. Furthermore, his speeches about Chief Minister M.K. Stalin were unacceptable. The crowds that flock to Vijay don’t necessarily translate into votes. Everyone likes Vijay only as an actor. People are eager to see him as a film actor again. Therefore, he said, he should be defeated in the elections and sent back to cinema.
Following this, actor Sathyaraj campaigned to support DMK candidates Chief Minister M.K. Stalin (Kolathur), Karthik Mohan (Villivakkam), and K.S. Ravichandran (Thiruvika Nagar).
