Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has reached London. He will attend the coronation ceremony of King Charles III on behalf of the Government of India.
Explain that on May 2, British High Commissioner Alexander Ellis met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to discuss preparations for the coronation ceremony of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey. “It’s an honor to meet the Vice President before attending the coronation,” the British High Commissioner tweeted. She added that this is an important occasion and an opportunity to further deepen UK-India ties.
The coronation of King Charles III will take place on Saturday 6 May at Westminster Abbey in London. The event will mark almost seven decades since the last coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. According to the royal family, on the morning of the coronation, King Charles III and Camilla will travel in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the King’s Procession. It was built in 2012 for the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.
