Jammu (IANS). Five people were killed and seven injured in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Tuesday. The driver lost control of the vehicle on the Bhaderwah-Pathankot road in Doda district, and the vehicle fell into a deep gorge, police said. According to the police, the incident took place in Guldanda. Five people died on the spot and seven were injured. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment by police and local volunteers.
Police said a case has been registered in connection with the incident and investigation is on. It is being said that Doda district has bad roads resulting in human loss.
Traffic officials also blame rash and negligent driving by drivers of commercial vehicles in hilly Doda district. Earlier in the day, two people were killed while another was injured in another accident on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Doda district.
