Katra: During the Trikut festival, the weather at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine kept fluctuating, yet there was no waning in the faith and enthusiasm of the pilgrims. Amidst alternating spells of clouds, light rain, and clear skies, devotees paid their obeisance to the Goddess and completed the pilgrimage.
Despite the changing weather, the movement of pilgrims along the route continued. The relatively smaller crowds made it easier for devotees to have a smooth darshan, sparing them from having to endure long queues.
Weather Alters the Pilgrimage Experience
The sudden change in weather in the Trikut mountain region provided pilgrims with a cool and pleasant atmosphere. However, the administration and the Shrine Board advised travelers to exercise caution in light of the weather conditions.
Pilgrims Happy with Smaller Crowds
The lower turnout of pilgrims resulted in better-managed arrangements along the route. Devotees could comfortably reach the Bhawan, seek blessings from Mata Vaishno Devi, and enjoy the natural surroundings.
Focus on Security and Facilities
The administration remained vigilant regarding security arrangements, health services, and other amenities along the pilgrimage route. Officials ensured that necessary arrangements were maintained for the convenience of the pilgrims.
