Lucknow: On the second day of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature session, the Yogi government presented a supplementary budget of 12 thousand 909 crore 93 lakhs in the Assembly. In this, funds have been arranged mainly for industrial development, transport, energy and Ganga Expressway.
Finance Minister Suresh Khanna presented a supplementary budget of 12 thousand 909 crore 93 lakhs in the Assembly on Tuesday. Out of this, 2,000 crores are for energy, 1,000 crores for transport, 600 crores for Amrit Yojana. The state government will spend Rs 7,981.98 crore from this for development works, while it will spend Rs 4,227.94 crore in the revenue head and this is 1.66 percent of the original budget of Rs 7.36 lakh crore presented in February this year.
Suresh Khanna presented the supplementary budget as soon as the Question Hour ended in the House. Leader of the House Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present during this time. Suresh Khanna said that the state government will spend Rs 2,000 crore for the energy sector. At the same time, an additional amount of Rs 1,000 crore has been given to the Transport Department, which will be spent on the purchase of buses. Apart from this, Rs 200 crore will be spent for skill development.
The Finance Minister said that a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for open gyms. Also, in the supplementary budget, a provision of Rs 28.40 crore has been proposed for setting up labs in 284 government inter colleges under the Secondary Education Department and Rs 66.82 crore for setting up ICT labs in 1,040 government secondary schools.
He said that a provision of Rs 74.90 crore has been made for various schemes of the Culture Department, Rs 53.15 crore for setting up Atal Residential Schools and Rs 2.79 crore for the maintenance of residential and non-residential buildings in these.
