Raipur. A surveillance criminal of Urla has been arrested while selling liquor. The police team had received information from an informer that a person was illegally keeping and selling liquor in Khamtarai, Raipur under the Khamtarai Over Bridge.
On raiding the place mentioned by the informer, the surveillance criminal Pradeep Tiwari, father Shivbaran Tiwari, age 32 years, resident of Durga Nagar Birgaon, Urla Police Station, Raipur district was found who had kept the liquor in a white plastic bag. 34 quarters of country liquor plain worth Rs 3060 was seized from the possession of the accused and a case number 52/25, section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered at Khamtarai Police Station and after taking action, the accused was sent on judicial remand.
