Raipur: Chhattisgarh Government’s Urban Administration and Development Department has sanctioned a total of Rs 8 crore 54 lakh 19 thousand for development of various infrastructures and essential facilities in Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation. The department has sanctioned Rs 7 crore 54 lakh 19 thousand for 42 works of infrastructure development in different wards of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation. The department has also approved Rs 1 crore as untied fund under the compensation head for the smooth functioning of essential public services in the city.
With the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao, the department has issued the sanction orders for these amounts. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Sao has directed the officials concerned to ensure timely completion of works while adhering to the given quality standards. For the remaining development works of the second phase in the residential plot allotted for journalists in Rajnandgaon, Urban Administration and Development Department has allocated nearly Rs 2 crore under infrastructure head. These include PCC costing Rs 97 lakh 19 thousand in Press Club Colony, road construction, RCC costing Rs 34 lakh 64 thousand, and construction of drains and boundary walls costing Rs 68 lakh eight thousand.
The amount of Rs 7 crore 54 lakh 19 thousand sanctioned by Urban Administration and Development Department from the infrastructure head will be utilized for construction of CC-roads, works of road, construction of drainage system, construction of community buildings, gardens, toilets, gates, shops and shed construction, dome construction, interlocking, boundary wall and courtyard construction in Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation.
