EICMAThe Hero Maverick 440 is the most premium motorcycle sold by Hero MotoCorp in India and is based on the Harley X440. The major highlights introduced by Hero at EICMA 2024 were the Xpulse 210, Xtreme 250 and Karizma 250. The second motorcycle showcased at EICMA was the updated Hero Maverick 440. The manufacturer is expected to launch the motorcycle in the near future and it will be the most premium variant of the Hero Maverick 440. Hero MotoCorp launched the Maverick keeping the affordability factor in mind. The Hero Maverick 440 is priced lower than the Harley X440, but their new updated variant (which will be the top variant) will be priced closer to the base Harley X440.
The updated Hero Maverick 440 gets gold coloured USD forks and a TFT display at the front. The mechanical aspect of the motorcycle remains the same as before. We get a 440cc air/oil cooled engine that produces 27hp of max power and 36Nm of peak torque.
As of now, we don’t have any information on the price of the updated Hero Maverick 440. Currently, the Hero Maverick range starts at Rs 1.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.24 lakh.
Hero is also planning to enter the 400cc adventure tourer segment. It has revealed a concept sketch of the Hero XPulse 421 which looks quite cool and we wish the manufacturer launches it soon. Surprisingly, the 400cc adventure motorcycle doesn’t show much resemblance to the smaller XPulse 210. The XPulse 421 is quite long and has a very slim body structure too. It seems like the company is taking suggestions from its Dakar riders. The design of the Hero Xpulse 421 is somewhat similar to the Ducati Multistrada
Talking about the engine, the Xpulse 421 will be given a new 421cc single cylinder liquid cooled engine which will give a power of 40-45bhp. The torque is likely to be around 45Nm. It is likely that the motorcycle will be given a six-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
