Unique thief with fake hair caught, traveling by plane

Thane: In Thane, Maharashtra, the Crime Branch has caught a thief who used to change his appearance by wearing a wig of fake hair before committing the theft. After committing theft, this thief used to go to his village by plane. Thane Crime Branch has arrested this accused, a resident of Assam, after rigorous investigation. This thief, who committed thefts in deserted and locked houses in many areas of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane, has been identified as Moinul Abdul Malik Islam. He is originally from Assam. He had stolen gold jewelery worth more than Rs 62 lakh. According to the Crime Branch, till now the accused has committed 19 major thefts in Thane district, 2 in Navi Mumbai and 1 in Mumbai i.e. a total of 22 major thefts. This accused has no hair on his head, he is bald. He used to wear fake hair while committing theft, so that no one could recognize him. DCP Shivraj Patil of Mumbai Thane Crime Branch said that this accused, who tried to hide his identity under the guise of a fake wig, used to reach Thane by air from Hojai district of Assam. Used to take a house on rent here. He used to do detailed recce of the houses where theft was to be committed. After doing Reiki, he used to commit theft and then go to his village by plane. During this time he also used to switch off his phone. Based on an input, Thane Crime Branch has arrested this vicious thief from his native village in Assam. Precious gold jewelery worth about Rs 62 lakh was found with him. When the Crime Branch technically analyzed the CCTV videos of a dozen theft incidents, it was found that he had worn fake hair on his head. He also tried to sell the gold items. The police is busy investigating how much gold has been sold and where it has been sold. This vicious impersonator thief was arrested by the police and taken into police custody for five days.
