Balasore (Odisha): Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw performed Yoga in Balasore, Odisha to mark the 9th International Yoga Day.
This year the theme is “Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, highlighting the message of One Earth, One Family, and One Future.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today thanked the people of Bahanaga for their help during the train accident on June 2 and announced Rs 2 Cr assistance.
Vaishnaw reviewed the restoration work at Bahanaga Bazar station and interacted with the people during which he thanked them. Besides, announced a Rs 2 cr assistance for the development of Bahanaga village.
Out of the Rs 2 crore assistance announced by the Minister, Rs 1 crore was sanctioned from the MP fund for the development of Bahanaga area while the other Rs 1 crore was approved from Railways fund for the development of Bahanaga hospital.
“I have come here to the Bahanaga Bazar and interacted with the locals about what all development works can be done here. I also thanked them for their efforts during the incident (horrific triple-train accident),” Vaishnaw said while speaking to the media persons.
The further said that Rs 2 crore has been allocated for the development work of the village and hospital here. “Investigation is underway in the incident. An Independent investigation is going on,” he added.
It is worth mentioning that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the session from the UN Headquarters on June 21, 2023. With International Yoga Day falling amid Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Official State visit to the United States of America.
PM Modi on June 21, 2023 virtually connected to the citizens of India and informed about the Yoga event that he will be participating in at around 5:30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST).
The event will be organized at the Headquarters of the United Nations (UN).
