Madhya Pradesh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 41,000 crore for the Indian Railways on February 26. Also, the foundation stone of projects related to this project will be laid at Amrit Bharat Railway Station. This project will revive railway stations in various cities. Ujjain’s name is also in the list and soon the railway station will look like an airport.
PM Modi performed Bhoomi Pujan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform Swadeshi virtual puja at 11 railway stations of Ujjain, Indore, Nagda, Hakulod and Ratlam divisions under the Amrit Bharat Railway Station programme. As far as the railway station is concerned, the facility here is being extended up to the airport line at a cost of Rs 800 crore.
Railway projects worth Rs 41 billion
The railway project worth Rs 41 billion will be inaugurated and the foundation stone laid on Monday. As a result, stations like Ujjain, Indore, Sohra, Nagda, Kashrod, Maksi, Shujalpur, Dahoud, Mansoor and Neemuch-Rimkhoda will be rebuilt. About 554 railway stations will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Railway Station Scheme. Apart from this, the road below the bridge will also be open to the public.
These facilities will be available in Ujjain
Ujjain, the city of Baba Mohkal, is a popular pilgrimage site among tourists and is visited by a large number of devotees. In future, facilities will be provided on the Airport Line for tourists visiting the station. There is a food court, a waiting room and a children’s play area. All work will be done using eco-friendly construction techniques. Apart from the cafeteria, there will also be a roof terrace.
Entry and exit occur at different points. Monitoring will be done through surveillance cameras and a command center will be set up. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for people with disabilities. It is equipped with lighting system, elevator, escalator and other facilities. It connects the railways on both sides of the station, viz. H. in the old city and in Feriganj. After the renovation, the station will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.
