On Saturday, cataract operations of about 18 elderly men and women of Katghora rural area were done in the district medical college located in Korba. The operation went well, but after the operation, the elderly patients had to go home by paying a hefty amount from their pockets and hiring an auto at their own expense.

A lot of resentment was seen among the patients wandering for a vehicle regarding the system. The patients said that the reality of government schemes is in front of them. Under the government scheme, they were brought from home in a government vehicle, but now no arrangement has been made for their departure, due to which they are wandering, and are forced to go home by hiring a vehicle themselves.
