CHENNAI: Ministers and officials headed by Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will leave for Orissa this morning from Tamil Nadu to directly meet the victims of the train accident.
Accompanied by Transport Minister SS Shivshankar and three IAS officers, Uday is expected to leave for Odisha on a 9.30 am flight from Chennai. The team will offer assistance and arrange transportation for those wishing to return to Tamil Nadu from Odisha.
At least 50 people were killed and over 350 injured in a horrific triple train accident involving Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express and a goods train in Odisha on Friday.
