UAE to run 50% of government services with AI by 2028, expands Agentic AI

UAE: The Gulf country of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has taken a key decision. It has announced that 50 percent of government services and activities will be run with AI. It has been revealed that the use of Agentic AI will be expanded. UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has revealed that these changes will be brought in by 2028. The UAE will be the first country in the world to use Artificial Intelligence at this level.

The UAE Prime Minister said that AI will become not only a support tool but also an executive partner here. He said that the government will use this technology to improve the services it provides to the people and speed up the decision-making process. Agentic AI means.. The AI systems used so far usually answer the questions we ask. But agentic AI does not stop there. If given a goal.. it determines the necessary steps to achieve it, takes the necessary actions, and moves forward until the work is completed.

This means that it is not just ‘AI that answers’. Until now, AI has acted as a tool. It was something we could use if we needed it. But now, agentic AI is becoming like a companion who works with us. It is reaching the point where it understands the need, works in multiple stages, and makes some decisions. However, tech experts say that this is not a small change, but a journey from assistive technology to collaborative technology.
