Two youths tried to commit suicide to stop government work, case registered

During the construction work, Akshit Sharma, a resident of Milak Lacchi village of Greater Noida West and Himanshu Vashisht, a resident of Kakod in Bulandshahr, tried to set themselves on fire by pouring kerosene on themselves. The police present on the spot saved both the youths from getting burnt. When both of them tried to set themselves on fire, about hundreds of people including farmers and police were present on the spot.

Both the youths sprayed oil on themselves and also warned. The incident happened on Tuesday, but the police gave this information on Wednesday. Considering the seriousness of the matter, it was investigated secretly and it was found that the two youths who tried to set themselves on fire by pouring oil on themselves, neither their land has been acquired nor they have anything to do with the place where development work is going on. In such a situation, the police have claimed that these people had come here as part of a conspiracy and tried to stop the government work as part of the conspiracy.

The police have registered a case against both the youths Akshit Sharma and Himanshu. The matter is being investigated. Additional DCP Greater Noida Ashok Kumar said that this incident happened during the farmers’ protest. Both the youths deliberately tried to set themselves on fire. The police is on the spot, the situation is under control.
