Two workers who came to clean the sewer died

Noida. In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, two laborers who had come to clean the sewer of a house died due to inhaling poisonous gas. Police gave this information on Saturday. Noida Sector-20 police station in-charge Inspector D.P. Shukla told that on Saturday morning, two laborers had come to the house of a person living in A-Block of Sector 26 to clean the sewer. He told that while cleaning, both of them got hit by poisonous gas, due to which they died.

The deceased were identified as Nooni Mandal and Tapan Mandal, who were residents of Sector 9, the official said. Shukla said that after the incident, a large number of cleaning workers reached the spot and demanded the police to take strict action against the landlord. The sanitation workers have also demanded compensation for the deceased.

The sanitation workers said that the safety tank was built in a narrow lane and no safety measures were taken there. He told that as soon as the workers opened the safety tank, poisonous gas came out from it, due to which both the workers died.
