Two vehicles collided head-on on Kedarnath Highway, seven people seriously injured in the accident

Rudraprayag (IANS) | Two vehicles collided head-on on Saturday on the Kedarnath Highway in Rudraprayag. A horrific road accident took place on the Kedarnath Highway near Bhatwadisain, about four km from the district headquarters Rudraprayag. During this, the person riding the bike has also come under his grip. Seven people were seriously injured in this accident, who are undergoing treatment at Rudraprayag District Hospital.

In fact, the collision was so severe that one vehicle was completely damaged, while the other vehicle overturned on the road itself. A person riding a bike was also injured in this accident. All the injured were sent to Rudraprayag district hospital for treatment, while both the damaged vehicles were taken to the highway side by JCB machines.

According to Disaster Management Department Rudraprayag, a utility from Rajasthan was returning from Sonprayag, while the passengers from Delhi were going to Kedarnath in their Santro car. During this, both the vehicles collided with each other at Bhatwadisain. The collision of both the vehicles was so strong that the car was completely damaged. The people in the utility vehicle were returning from Kedarnath after offering Bhandara.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Kumar told that this accident happened in Bhatwadisain of Kedarnath Highway. Over speed is being told as the reason for the accident. Seven passengers have been injured, who have been sent for immediate treatment.
