Two theft cases solved in Madna Depot area, three accused arrested

Gorella. Gorella. Police have successfully solved two separate theft cases in Madna Depot area of ​​Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district of Chhattisgarh and arrested three accused. These include two youths and a minor. Stolen goods worth about Rs 4 lakh have been recovered from the accused. Investigation of these cases was started on the instructions of Superintendent of Police Sujan Ram Bhagat. Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Om Chandel and SDOP Shyam Sidar, the cyber cell and police station staff identified the accused through technical analysis and arrested them.

First case – Theft at Fazal Ilahi’s house

The theft took place at Fazal Ilahi’s residence on the night of July 5-6. Unknown thieves stole gold and silver jewelry and cash worth about Rs 2.20 lakh from the house. After this incident, a case was registered at Pendra police station on the complaint of the victim.

Second case – Theft in the month of May
The second theft incident came to light on the night of 5-6 May, in which also unknown accused broke into the house and stole valuables.

Arrested accused and seizure

Police have arrested Naveen Jaiswal (22 years), Durgesh Rajak (19 years) and a minor in this case.

Stolen gold jewellery, two mobile phones and two DVRs were seized from Naveen Jaiswal.

Rs 1000 cash and an Apple mobile phone purchased from the stolen money were seized from Durgesh Rajak.

Gold jewellery and mobile phones were also recovered from the minor accused.

Police technical team played an important role
The cyber cell team identified the accused with the help of CCTV footage and mobile location installed around the incident spot and then the team conducted a planned raid and caught all three.

Police appeal
Superintendent of Police Sujan Ram Bhagat has appealed to the people of the district to keep the security of their homes strong and if they notice any suspicious activity nearby, they should immediately inform the police. With this action, the police has succeeded in cracking down on the thieves gang active in Madna Depot area. The police is now also investigating the criminal record of the accused and their involvement in any other incidents.
