Shopian: Two terrorist associates have been arrested with incriminating material in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said on Saturday. “02 terrorist associates arrested with incriminating material during joint naka checking at Malik check crossing by Shopian Police, 44RR and 14BN CRPF,” District Police Shopian said in a post on X. Police said a first information report has been registered at Heerpora police station under relevant sections of the law. He said that investigation has been started. Meanwhile, Indian Army and Special Operations Group police personnel conducted a search operation in Shahsitar area of Poonch district on Friday. An Indian Air Force soldier was killed and four others were injured in the recent terrorist attack in Poonch. After the attacks, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah targeted the BJP-led central government. He said, “BJP should respond to the terrorist attack on the Indian Air Force convoy in Poonch. I have been saying that till the time I was the Chief Minister, some areas which were surrounded by terrorism were becoming terrorism free. Like Srinagar.
