Two Indians die in Pokhara lake accident.
Pokhara. A tragic road accident occurred early Friday morning in Pokhara, Nepal. Two Indian nationals died and two others were critically injured when a car bearing a Bihar registration number plunged into the famous Phewa Lake. The accident caused panic in the area.
According to local officials, the car involved in the accident had a Bihar registration number, and all its occupants were Indian nationals. Upon receiving information about the incident, relief and rescue teams arrived at the scene and began efforts to retrieve the car from the lake.
Car Plunges into Phewa Lake
Reports indicate that the accident took place on Friday morning when the car lost control and fell into Phewa Lake. Bystanders alerted the relevant authorities immediately after the car went into the water.
Rescue workers subsequently arrived at the scene and extracted the people trapped inside the vehicle. However, the accident was so severe that two individuals died on the spot.
Death of a Youth from Raxaul
One of the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Navdeep Kumar Yadav, a resident of Raxaul in the East Champaran district of Bihar.
A pall of gloom has descended upon his family and village following the news of Navdeep Kumar Yadav’s death. His family members have been informed of the incident.
Meanwhile, the identity of the second deceased Indian national has not yet been established; the administration is making efforts to identify him.
Two Critically Injured
Two Indian nationals injured in the accident were safely rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment.
The injured have been identified as 27-year-old Anmol Kumar Yadav and 33-year-old Suraj Yadav. Both are reported to be residents of Raxaul, Bihar.
After being extricated from the vehicle, both injured men were admitted to Gandaki Medical College, where doctors began their treatment.
According to the hospital administration, the condition of both injured individuals is currently reported to be stable.
Police Launch Investigation
Following the incident, the Nepal Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The police are trying to determine the cause that led the car to lose control and plunge into the lake. Information is also being gathered from eyewitnesses to determine the cause of the accident.
