New Delhi (IANS) | Delhi Police has arrested two people in connection with the brutal murder of a youth in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai area. An official gave this information on Tuesday. The accused have been identified as Devraj and Ayush Thapa, residents of Deoli village. 23-year-old Sachin, a resident of Raju Park area, was stabbed by both the accused on Monday after a minor argument.
He was taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, but was declared brought dead.
During the investigation, the crime scene was secured by the local police and CCTV cameras installed in the area were analysed, said Chandan Chowdhary, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South). An eyewitness to the incident told the police that when Sachin was being taken to the hospital, he said that Devraj and Ayush had stabbed him.
Blood stained clothes and weapons have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
During interrogation, it was revealed that there was an old enmity between the accused and the deceased over a dispute that had taken place about a year ago.
The DCP said, Sachin had threatened the accused of dire consequences.
