Two arrested for selling liquor near hotel
Raipur. The police have arrested two youths selling liquor near the hotel. According to the information, the Abhanpur police received information that two persons kept liquor near a hotel located in village Kholha under the police station Abhanpur area and were in the process of selling it. On which, under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of station in-charge Abhanpur, the team of police station Abhanpur identified and arrested the persons of the appearance told by the informer. In the inquiry, the persons told their names as Madan Kumar Sahu and Yashwant Kumar Sahu, residents of Abhanpur.
On searching the gunny bag kept with them by the team members, it was found to be containing country liquor. Continuous efforts were being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document on demand of valid documents from both of them in relation to possession of liquor. On which the accused arrested both the accused and kept them illegally from their possession by seizing 81 pauwa country liquor worth about Rs 9,000/- and registered the crime number 246/23 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act against the accused at Abhanpur police station. to be done.
