Two arrested for killing student outside Aryabhatta College in Delhi’s South Campus

New Delhi (IANS) | Two youths have been arrested for allegedly killing a BA (Hons) Political Science student of the School of Open Learning (SOL) outside Aryabhatta College in Delhi University’s South Campus. An official has given this information on Monday. The murder took place on Monday. The accused have been identified as Rahul (19) of Bindapur and Haroon (19) of Janakpuri.

According to the official, Rahul is a first year BA student while Haroon is Rahul’s friend but has dropped out of school. We have also identified two more people involved in the incident, the official said.

On Sunday, the police received a call from Charak Palika Hospital regarding the knife incident.

The caller told the police that a student had been stabbed in the chest and was brought to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

A team was sent and it was learned that Nikhil Chauhan (19), a resident of Paschim Vihar, has been admitted. He was brought from Aryabhatta College.

On enquiry, police learned that Nikhil was a first year BA (Hons) Political Science student at SOL.

About seven days ago, a student of SOL had misbehaved with Nikhil’s girlfriend in the college. “On Sunday around 12.30 pm, the same student who had misbehaved with Nikhil’s girlfriend met Nikhil outside the college gate along with three of his friends and stabbed him in the chest,” the officer said.
