Twitter’s paid Blue service just made $11 million in three months

New Delhi (IANS) | As Elon Musk wants all Twitter users to pay for the Blue badge, the latest data has revealed that Twitter Blue has earned just $11 million in mobile subscriptions since launching the service three months ago. According to a report by TechCrunch, which cited data from app intelligence firm Sensor Tower, the take-up of the Blue service has been ‘very low’.

The report noted, “While $11 million is a small figure, we must caution that this estimate does not cover web-based subscriptions. The figures cover the 20 markets where Blu launched earlier this week.” I went.”

Sensor Tower data was based on in-app purchases from mobile apps such as Twitter.

Twitter has now made its Blue service with verification available globally and the legacy check marks will disappear on April 1.

The move could help Twitter earn more dollars in the future.

The micro-blogging platform has also stopped sharing its daily and monthly active users. It last reported 238 million monetizable daily active users.

Twitter or Musk have yet to respond to the data from the Blue service.

Musk has now announced that Twitter will remove all legacy blue verified check marks for both individual users and organizations from April 1.

Twitter Blue will cost Rs 9,400 per year (or Rs 900 per month) in India for individual users.

Twitter Blue is now available globally and users can get Blue Verified for $7 a month if they sign up via a web browser.
