Visakhapatnam: Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao said that the people of Telangana are waiting to give the BJP a chance, in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media, the BJP MP said the decision of the party’s high command to choose a BC candidate for Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has caused a commotion. “In Telangana, the BJP will emerge as an alternative force. There is an undercurrent in Telangana and BRS, and the Congress will not miss an opportunity to shock,” he said.
He also remarked that the BJP intends to create a golden Telangana. He chastised Chandrasekhar Rao for turning his own family into a golden family rather than making Telangana a golden state. Narasimha Rao further maintained that the privatisation of RINL never began and will not occur in the foreseeable future. Narasimha Rao noted that the Centre’s objective is to run RINL profitably. He further said that the BJP realised the aspiration of the people of north Andhra by launching a train from Visakhapatnam to Varanasi. He criticised the Jagan regime for ignoring labour.
BJP state vice-president Vishnukumar Raju also spoke at the press conference, stating that he will run in the future elections from the Visakhapatnam constituency.
