Try masala idli, note the method

Recipe : Everyone likes healthy and light food in the morning. In such a situation, if you are looking for a recipe which is quick to prepare and tastes good, then you should try Masala Idli. For this, make idli a day before and keep it in the refrigerator. This will save your time in the morning and you will be able to prepare it in minutes. Let us learn how you can easily make healthy and tasty masala idli as a snack.

10 idlis
2 to 3 tomatoes
4 to 5 curry leaves
¼ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp coriander powder
2 tbsp mustard oil, salt as per taste

  • First of all, take out the idli from the fridge, place it in a plate and cut it into four pieces. Then take a pan and keep it on medium flame on the gas. – Now heat oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard, cumin and asafoetida and fry. When mustard and cumin seeds are roasted well, add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and curry leaves. Now when it is roasted, cut the tomatoes into small pieces and add them.

Now let all these ingredients boil well and add salt as per taste and cover it for 1 minute. In this way the tomatoes will melt completely and the masala will be ready. Now add idli to that masala and mix well. Lower the flame, cover with a lid and let it simmer for about a minute. Turn off the flame after a minute. – Now turn off the gas. Serve hot and enjoy breakfast
