London: The country’s treasury announced on Thursday that 162 million pounds were spent on the funeral of the late queen of Britain, Queen Elizabeth. This value in our currency is around Rs.1,655 crores. The cost of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral was presented to Parliament by Chief Secretary to the Treasury John Glenn on Thursday. It is known that Elizabeth, who was the Queen of Britain for 70 years, died on September 8 last year. Her last rites were officially held on September 19. Lakhs of people paid tribute to her along with leaders and representatives of various countries. Days of mourning were observed in Britain for 10 days. In 1965, Queen Elizabeth’s funeral was held in Britain in an official capacity after the funeral of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
